The MTC Low Angle Block, Smoothing, Jack and Jointing Planes feature an easy-to-adjust, precise depth and lateral blade adjustment system. Simply twist the knurled knob to set the depth of cut, and slide it side to side to skew the blade within the plane mouth. The entire assembly disassembles easily for regular maintenance, making it simple to care for and set up your hand tools—because MTC believes that woodworking should be easy and stress-free.

MTC has selected M2 High Speed Steel (HSS) for its blades, known for its high abrasion resistance. This means it holds a sharp edge significantly longer than many other steels. Additionally, MTC plane blades are thicker than average, which eliminates vibration during cutting, ensuring a smooth, uniform finish.
