Out of the box, I straightened out the blade, I got a good depth, and I started using it right away. I haven't even sharpened the blade and I'm still getting these nice amazing shavings without doing anything to it, so I am beyond impressed because it's quick and easy and I can just play with it.

I used the spokeshave a lot in making a project recently, I had to work with these tiny pieces and break the edges and they were great! The spokeshaves, recommend ten out of ten. I sat down with the spokeshave for hours… it was lovely and therapeutic.

I had no idea how much they cost. I was blown away, because of the quality. I thought for sure you’d be on the level of Lie Neilson and these kind of guys because that’s the quality of the tool. I remember they were considerably less than what you might expect from Lie Neilsen or other high-end stuff.

I remember going from a crumby hand plane to nice hand plane in my evolution as a woodworker, and I realized the difference. I recognized the beauty of a good hand plane and understanding the next level tools. Sometime you just don’t know what you need until it’s in your hands.
